PAPER & WIRE

Our stucco applications are always completed with high standards and high quality products. House wrap,or paper is first applied to the building creating a water resistant barrier, preventing the entry of moisture from the outside. Lath, or wire is than applied over top to secure the mortar base (scratch coat) that will follow.

SCRATCH COAT

The first layer of plaster which is applied to the wall. While still wet, this first coating is scratched using a trowel. These surface scratches or grooves create both an excellent mechanical and chemical bond between the scratch and finish coat that follows.

CONVENTIONAL STUCCO
Stucco 27.jpg

Ideal for the budget conscious, the main components of conventional or traditional stucco are Portland cement and sand. It can be finished in a large variety of textures. Colors are generally more limited as this is a cement based product and will not deliver the same vibrancy as acrylic stucco. Lighter colors are recommended, as each mix is different and consistency can not be guaranteed.

Exterior Insulation Finishing System

STONE

Stucco 36.jpg

Made from Acrylic Resins and/or Polymers, acrylic stucco is the ideal choice for both its durability and flexibility. Acrylic coatings are extremely resistant to U.V. attack and provide excellent weather ability.  They can withstand the damaging effects of continual freeze-thaw cycles. Texture options are slightly more limited than those of conventional stucco, but color options are virtually endless and provide much more consistency.

A multi-layer wall cladding system that provides exceptional energy efficiency and moisture protection. This consists first of an insulation board attached adhesively to the substrate, followed by a water resistant base coat. Base coat is than reinforced with commercial grade mesh for added strength and followed by the desired finish coat. This system provides upmost durability, being both color fast and virtually crack resistant.
